An evaluation meeting was held on October 20, 2026, at 12:30 PM by the Department of Management and Organization at Aksaray University’s Eskil Vocational School. The meeting aimed to review the 2026 Departmental Self-Assessment Report, assess quality assurance processes, and identify improvement initiatives for areas requiring further development.
Chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah KILIÇARSLAN, with the participation of Lect. Dr. Musa ACAR and Lect. Tuba USLU, the meeting involved a comprehensive review of the 2026 Departmental Self-Assessment Report in alignment with the quality assurance criteria set by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK).
During the meeting, the four core pillars of the Departmental Self-Assessment Report—Leadership, Governance, and Quality; Education and Training; Research, Development, and Specialization; and Societal Contribution—were examined in detail. The activities conducted under these pillars, along with the department’s strengths, areas for improvement, maturity levels, and the evidence presented in the report, were evaluated to determine necessary improvement actions to address any identified gaps.
Regarding education and training processes, the Logistics Program’s Bologna course information packages, program competencies, course learning outcomes, assessment and evaluation practices, and student-centered educational activities were reviewed. In the context of research and development, the faculty members' scientific publications, academic activities, and research performance were discussed; meanwhile, under the scope of societal contribution, the department’s social responsibility initiatives, stakeholder collaborations, and efforts toward regional development were examined. The meeting also addressed the need to incorporate the updated mission, vision, and values of Eskil Vocational School—revised in line with findings from the 2026 Peer Review Report—into the Departmental Self-Assessment Report, ensuring consistency across all institutional documents.
As an outcome of the meeting, decisions were made to rectify the shortcomings identified in the report, update the relevant information and evidence, re-evaluate maturity levels based on current practices and the results of improvement initiatives, and finalize the report. Furthermore, it was decided that the planned improvement activities would be monitored under the coordination of the Department Head and that, following the completion of the necessary approval processes, the report would be published on the department’s website.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of maintaining the quality assurance processes of the Management and Organization Department in alignment with the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, guided by a commitment to stakeholder participation and evidence-based continuous improvement.
