The meeting, chaired by the Acting Head of the Department of Management and Organization, Lecturer Dr. Zekiye ÖRTLEK, was attended by department faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah KILIÇARSLAN and Lecturer Dr. Musa ACAR.
The meeting discussed in detail the midterm exam (vize) evaluation ratios to be applied in the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 Academic Year. As a result of the evaluations, it was decided that the total midterm exam evaluation ratio would be 40% for all courses except those that do not have midterm exams and require process evaluation (project, seminar, internship, teaching practice, school experience, etc.).
Furthermore, in order to more effectively evaluate students' academic progress during the semester, it was deemed appropriate to apply a 15% contribution of assignments, projects, applications, portfolios, and similar semester/year-long work to the raw success grade, provided that it is included within the 40% midterm exam evaluation. Accordingly, students' raw success grades will be calculated as follows: The final grade will be calculated by combining 40% of the midterm exam grade and 60% of the final exam grade.
This decision, made in line with the opinions and suggestions of the department's faculty members, aims to strengthen unity and standardization in measurement and evaluation practices in education and training processes.
