An awareness presentation on December 3rd, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, was held at Eskil Vocational School on December 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. for first- and second-year students in the Logistics Program. The presentation was made by Instructor Dr. Zekiye ÖRTLEK.

The event emphasized the historical context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the importance of raising public awareness, and the fact that disability is not only an individual's physical condition but also shaped by social and environmental barriers. The presentation covered in detail types of disabilities, accessibility in education and the workplace, technology-supported solutions, the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the legal basis for disability rights in Turkey.

ÖR**** stated that making educational institutions and workplaces accessible, particularly through ramps, elevators, wide access areas, and digital accessibility, improves the quality of life for everyone. It was also emphasized that encouraging the active participation of individuals with disabilities in social life is a responsibility of society.
